Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
The integration of Sheets2GCal Sync with Google Workspace APIs is strictly designed to protect user privacy. We are fully committed to upholding Google's API policies to ensure a safe environment for your spreadsheets and calendar schedules.
📜 Google Limited Use Compliance Statement:
"Sheets2GCal Sync's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
1. Limited Use Requirements Compliance
Under the Google API Services User Data Policy, our add-on operates strictly under the Limited Use guidelines:
- Specific User-Facing Functionality: Data accessed via Google APIs (reading Sheet cells and writing to Google Calendar) is solely utilized to provide the core service: transforming spreadsheet row information into calendar events. We do not use this data for any other purpose.
- No Data Transfer to Brokers: We do not transfer your spreadsheet or calendar details to data brokers, ad networks, or data aggregators.
- No AI/ML Training: Google Workspace user data accessed through our APIs is never used to train, tune, or improve generalized AI/ML models. If you use the optional Gemini AI features, they are subject to standard API privacy exclusions prohibiting Google from using your inputs for base model training.
2. No Sale or Advertising Use
Your Google account data is handled with maximum privacy controls:
- NOT Sold: We never sell, rent, or trade your Google Sheets or Google Calendar information to any third party.
- NO Advertising: Your data is never used to display advertisements inside the add-on, serve personalized ads, or create marketing cohorts.
3. Human Access Restrictions
Because Sheets2GCal Sync processes all data locally and executes serverless API calls directly within your Google session, the developer has no access to your sheets, documents, or calendars.
Human access to any user data is strictly prohibited and structurally impossible, with the only exceptions limited to:
- User Support: If you explicitly share a spreadsheet or send us diagnostic logs during a troubleshooting session, we will only inspect it with your direct consent.
- Security Audits: In the event of a security incident or debug request where log analysis is necessary to protect the integrity of the service.
- Legal Obligations: Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes requiring debug audits.
4. Verification and Public Accessibility
This compliance page is publicly accessible to all users, Google reviewers, and administrators without authentication. We commit to keeping our policies transparent and in alignment with Google's requirements at all times.
